Inkput is made by one person. If something is broken, or you are stuck, write to me and I will answer — usually within a couple of days.
Telling me your iPhone or iPad model and iOS version saves a round trip. Screenshots help more than anything.
Where your writing is kept
On your device. Inkput has no account and no server of its own to send your words to. If you turn on iCloud sync in Preferences, your journals travel through your own private iCloud, where no one else — including me — can read them. Sync is off until you switch it on.
iCloud sync isn't showing up on my other device
Sync has to be switched on separately on each device, and both must be signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud Drive enabled. After that, open Inkput on both and give it a moment: it syncs in the background, and the second device fills in rather than replacing what is already there.
I deleted something by mistake
Deleting a sheet, a session, or a notepad is permanent — there is no trash to recover it from. If you only want a journal out of the way, archive it instead: an archived notepad keeps everything you wrote and can come back later. Archiving also stops its reminder.
My journal is full
Every journal holds thirty sheets, like a real notebook. When it is full, start a new one — finishing a notebook is meant to be a moment, not an error.
A reminder didn't arrive
Reminders are local notifications, one per notepad, on the days and time you chose. If nothing arrives, check Settings → Notifications → Inkput on your device. Archiving or deleting a notepad cancels its reminder, and turning the reminder off removes it immediately.
A notepad asks for Face ID
You locked it. A locked notepad opens with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode if biometrics fail. You can unlock it for good in the notepad's own settings.
Can I open a time capsule early?
No, and that is the point. A sealed session stays unreadable — even to you — until the day you chose when you sealed it, one to eight weeks out. It sits in your journal as a sealed sphere, counting down.
Does Inkput need an internet connection?
No. Everything works offline. The only feature that uses the network is iCloud sync, and only if you turn it on.
Which languages does Inkput speak?
English and 繁體中文. The app follows your device language.
